This is a curated list of some unleavened bread recipes that are simple enough for your kids to make themselves! As soon as you feel comfortable with them using the stove or oven on their own, these recipes are waiting! Until then, you can mix them up yourself in just a few minutes. This activity pairs well with the lessons and activities in the posts Lord’s Supper Craft and Comunion Themed Snack Ideas.

Alyona over at alyonascooking.com has a simple, stove-top, 3 ingredient matzah recipe.
Jen over at peelwithzeal.com has an equally simple, few-ingredient, gluten free Turkish unleavened flatbread recipe.
And for a little bit of flavor, Jessica over at findingtimeforcooking.com has a Rosemary Unleavened bread recipe. I love cooking and baking with rosemary. Just thinking about this one makes my mouth water! It is still super simple, and you can easily substitute dried rosemary for the fresh mentioned in the recipe.
Any of these recipes would work well for your unleavened bread activity. I have one such use for these recipes in this post. Younger kids may need help with the stove. Older kids should be able to handle these from start to finish. My kids love any opportunity to head up the cooking all by themselves.
While these particular unleavened bread recipes are not my own, I do have quite a few kid-tested recipes under the Recipes tab above. These include some of my family’s very favorite recipes such as Barbecue Pie, Enchilada Casserole, Kid-Friendly Taco Bake, and many more! All my recipes are kid-approved and made with basic ingredients.
These unleavened bread recipes pair well with the Holy Week lesson for Maundy Thursday in my book Resurrection Moments. The book has kid-friendly family devotions for Ash Wednesday, every Sunday in Lent, and each day of Holy Week. It is available here in the Chasing Those Moments shop.
You can also purchase the book in print or ebook form on Amazon, along with my Advent devotional Jesse Tree Moments.
The post Holy Week Activities for All Ages contains plenty of activities (including this one for making unleavened bread) for each day of Holy Week.
