This abstract sheep craft for older kids uses a lot of artistry and creativity. Your older kids will love the freedom to practice their art skills as they create this abstract sheep. It is geared toward the 9-12 year old set because it requires significant hand-eye coordination and concentration.

Abstract Sheep Craft for Older Kids: Design-a-Sheep
Supplies:
- White paper (regular or cardstock)
- Colored pencils, crayons, markers
Instructions:
First, you’ll need a basic sheep outline. Simple is best. Your kids can draw their own or you can print my free template here.
Next, let the kids have it. They can go crazy with their abstract imaginations as they design sheep. Fill the sheep with color and designs. The idea comes from the Mexican Sugar Skull principle.
And that’s it! Pretty simple. This abstract sheep craft for older kids is sure to be a hit with your 9-12 years. I’d love to see pictures of the designs your kids come up with! Post them in the comments or tag Chasing Those Moments on Facebook!
Didn’t my kiddos do great? The top image is one of my older kids’ artwork. The bottom is my 2 year olds’. Younger siblings love to do the same things as the older ones. I say let them go for it whenever possible! I love seeing the creativity of all ages.
This craft pairs perfectly with the devotions for Holy Monday from my book Resurrection Moments. It is available here in the Chasing Those Moments Shop or in paper back and ebook format on Amazon!
